Chambourcin Cottage was designed and built by Hawke’s Bay architect Steve McGavock. Its vaulted ceilings and native timber features throughout were inspired by renowned New Zealand architect John Scott. Newly renovated and tastefully decorated in 2016 by the talented Bibby+Brady interior design team, the furnishings, bedding, fabrics, kitchenware and amenities provide a warm, inviting, holiday experience.
Set in its very own boutique vineyard, the Cottage sits atop a rise offering lovely views over the vineyard, Heretaunga Plains, and the Kaweka and Huiarau ranges beyond. Our location is quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive to the stunning cliffs of Cape Kidnappers, the charming village of Havelock North, or the historic city of Napier.
Chambourcin Cottage is fully self-catered and completely separate from the main dwelling. It comprises a warm and inviting master bedroom with queen bed, office nook, private covered patio with comfortable patio furniture for stretching out to enjoy the sunset, a modern bathroom, and a full kitchen with coffee bar to enjoy the views. It also offers a spacious lounge with French doors opening to a sun drenched garden patio just meters from the vineyard.
Whether you're planning a romantic getaway weekend or a week long holiday, Chambourcin cottage is ideally suited for couples seeking to enjoy all that our coastal region has to offer.
