Stunning Second Home The Heart of The Laurentians
This second home stands on the shores of Lac Bouchette, in the heart of the Laurentians. The rough terrain presented many constraints for the construction. The relatively small built-up area, enclosed between the road and the regulatory setback at the lakeshore, influenced the rectilinear shape of the residence. Another challenge was to allow sufficient light into the house, despite the orientation of the house in relation to the sun and the many trees around it.

The residence was very fenestrée and opened towards the lake, bathing the spaces of life of light, allowing a immersion in the landscape. A large terrace at ground level, in continuation with the interior living spaces, also allows a connection with nature.

The exterior cladding is made of fiber cement panels, the anchors of which are completely concealed. In spaces that required a great deal of light, large curtain walls open the space to the outside. The entrance to the residence is covered, creating a buffer space, protected from the weather. The walls are made of prefinished cedar, while on the ground there is St-Marc stone.
